Good Monday morning to you! It’s a glorious day outside, and Christmas is just around the corner. I love this time of year.

This week is a bit abnormal. There will be NO Tuesday night adult or youth study this week. And there will be no AWANA on Sunday night.

Christmas Eve worship… Thursday night from 5:30 to 6:30 we will have our annual Christmas Eve worship time. We’ll sing some songs, hear the Word, and sing a bit more. For those of you who passed out those packages to invite a neighbor or friend, be in prayer for them to attend. Let’s make this night a time to reach out and extend a warm welcome to all visitors in our church that night. As you all know, some folks only come to church twice per year, so let’s take the opportunity to witness to them. I’ll preach for about 20-30 minutes, and the gospel will be shared clearly.

Tuesday night Bible study NEXT Tuesday night (Dec. 29) has been canceled. We will complete our NT overview on January 5 with the entire book of Revelation. I decided I needed the entire week off, so I’m not going to work that week. Sorin Prodan will preach for me on January 3, so I have no preparation responsibilities for that week! I haven’t been able to say that in years.

Our study of the cults will come to an end this Sunday morning in the 9:15 hour. I’ll be teaching a new class during that time for teachers and future teachers on How to Teach the Bible. It will meet in the back room where Chuck was teaching his class. This will not be a class on Bible subjects or exposition but a class on teaching. I want to train others to teach and give them opportunities to do so. All are welcome to attend, but the point of the class is for me to groom a handful of folks to be teachers. There might even be a future pastor to be taught who will start the next Harvest Bible Church. Ultimately, that’s my goal in this class.

Items for sale… Taylor Carstens has the following items he’d like to donate to someone in need: We have a washer and dryer and a convertible crib/child’s day bed with mattress. The bed is in very much like new condition. The washer and dryer in both great condition other then a little white paint that has chipped off the top of the dryer. We want to be sure these go to a family who needs them rather than a re-sale opportunity. My cell is 832-334-9453 for whomever wants to call for them. Ask for Taylor.
